Lack of nutrition means that children do not develop to their best potential. The poorest children cannot go to school because their parents have no money for notebooks and pencils.

Millions of people in Ethiopia do not have enough to eat. The reasons are droughts, overpopulation and unproductive agriculture.

People often have to drink contaminated water. Families do not have access to toilets. Due to poor hygiene, many children become ill.

Women are traditionally disadvantaged in Ethiopia. The hard everyday work wears out the mothers. Often they have never attended school. It is urgent to advance gender equality.

Many women work for starvation wages. Others leave Ethiopia to work in Arab states. We want to help them gain perspectives in life in their homeland.

Founders need start-up capital. That's why microcredits are so important for particularly poor women in Ethiopia. We consciously give loans primarily to them in order to strengthen their position in society.

Forestry helps agriculture: our tree plantings primarily serve to combat poverty. But the climate protection achieved as a result is a welcome side effect.

When children become ill, parents cannot afford medical treatment. We practice health prevention and help acutely ill children.

Climate change is increasing dry seasons. Cattle starve and die of thirst. That's why people also suffer. The health of young children in particular is at risk.
