Due to extreme poverty, child labor is still an everyday occurrence for many children in Ethiopia: four out of ten children have to work. Many are therefore unable to go to school. Like the girl Kanaan, 12: She had to drop out of school at the age of ten to work as a helper in a coffee shop - as a wage she only got one meal. "It was terrible to see the other children on their way to school," Kanaan recalls. Yet it is not difficult to end child labor. This is demonstrated by Kanaan's success story! Thanks to the donors of Menschen für Menschen donors, the girl can now play and learn again.
