For nine years, we supported extremely poor smallholder farmers in Abaya with a holistic project. At the turn of 2024, we ended our work in the district in southern Ethiopia to start a new project in the Raphe district. What has our help in Abaya achieved? Are we actually creating change? Can the people live independently without our help? An evaluation says: Absolutely! But it's not just the figures and statistics in a scientific study that indicate this. People also report on their successes. Here we present two women for whom our project was life-changing.
