Our founder Karlheinz Böhm wanted a world in which there would no longer be a division between rich and poor. With our work in Ethiopia, we want to show that this future is possible.
Mission
We support the people of Ethiopia in shaping the future of their country through their own efforts. We are committed to a life without hunger and poverty, with fairly distributed prospects, so that families in need can lead a dignified life in their homeland.
In our principle of "helping people to develop themselves", we take into account the different livelihoods in urban and rural areas and work in a holistic context.
We provide access to drinking water, sanitary facilities and healthcare. We promote the quality of school education. In rural areas, we help farmers to practice adapted agriculture and establish value chains. In the cities, the destitute are given the opportunity of vocational training, thereby increasing their chances on the job market. This enables people to build and secure their own livelihoods.
